InScope Acquires Training Services Company
InScope announced their acquisition of American Research Institute (ARI), Inc., a training services company based in Raleigh, North Carolina. ARI designs, develops, and delivers training that produces measurable business results for its clients. With the purchase of ARI, InScope will enhance their Education and Training Services to offer an expanded portfolio of capabilities, from learning needs assessment to content development to training delivery.

Inc. magazine yesterday ranked InScope International Number 1337 on its fifth annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Online retailer ideeli tops this year’s list. InScope joins Spirit Airlines, television maker Vizio, Honest Tea, Dunkin Donuts and Metrokane, makers of the Rabbit corkscrew, among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list.
InScope is among an elite group of companies who managed to growamidst the Great Recession. In the stagnant economic environment since 2007, the growth rate of Inc. 500|5000 companies was an impressive 94 percent. InScope bested this median with sales growth of 215%. Additionally, the companies on this year’s list reported having created 350,000 jobs in the past three years. InScope contributed to this job creation by adding 56 net new positions! InScope International Makes Black Enterprise Top 100 Black Businesses
InScope International was recognized earlier this month as being one of the nation's top 100 black businesses by Black Enterprise Magazine. InScope improved from the 89th largest business to the 74th larget black-owned business, coming in with $46.8M in revenue in FY 2010.

InScope Leadership Team Wins Award
In April 2011, Smart CEO Magazine recognized InScope International as a Smart CXO business in the Washington DC area with an all-star executive management team. InScope InService Heads to S.O.M.E
A group of InScope employees headed down town on February 17th to volunteer at a local food kitchen in downtown Washington D.C. The organization is called S.O.M.E, So Others Might Eat, and it has been running for over 40 years to help homeless or low-income residents of Washinton D.C. back on their feet again with a food kitchen, low-income housing, training and education.
The InScope group spent the day in the food kitchen, preparing lunch for hundreds of D.C. residents who dine at SOME.

InScope CEO Mike Bruce to Judge Young Entrepreneur Event
InScope's Mike Bruce will be on a panel of judges in late January as young entrepreneurs present their business plans at the NFTE’s Regional Final Business Plan Competition. NFTE, or Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship’s mission is to teach entrepreneurship to young people from low-income communities, improving their business, academic and life skills. This high-impact, effective organization trains new groups of teachers across the country to apply the NFTE curriculum in their schools. NFTE DC Region is currently supporting local teachers at 20 different schools in DC, MD, and VA – reaching close to 1,000 students annually. Throughout the year, these great kids learn how to start and operate their own small businesses and present a formal business plan.Winners of this competition will receive seed capital for their actual business plan.

Mike Bruce, CEO of InScope International, was named Entrepreneur of the Year for companies with sales of more than $50 million at the 27th annual MIC Gold Star Awards celebration hosted by the Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council. The luncheon, held at the Jefferson Hotel in downtown Richmond, recognized companies and individuals for their efforts to support minority business development and showing a strong commitment to supplier diversity and development throughout 2010.
The Council, which matches its members with numerous certified minority suppliers, has the ultimate goal of supporting and promoting growing minority suppliers and creating wealth in the communities in which they live.

His three year term starts in January 2011. InScope International welcomes Alan Partain to the InScope team as the Vice President of our newly formed Professional Staffing organization. In this role, he is chartered to expand InScope's staffing business into a national provider of superior talent across our core missions: public initiatives, national security, and technology innovation. Alan is uniquely qualified for this role based on his background and experience in building high-achieving, geographically-dispersed sales organizations across diverse industries.
Prior to joining InScope, Alan directed the national launch of Advanced BioHealing, a mission-oriented, tissue-engineering firm that develops cell therapies to help the body heal itself. Before his tenure at Advanced BioHealing, Alan was the National Director of Sales, Enterprise Platform Division for DLT Solutions, a nationally recognized reseller of Oracle, Google, Symantec, Autodesk, and Red Hat solutions. Prior to DLT Solutions, Alan spent 17 years with Pfizer, where he built two regional sales divisions in support of treatment modalities that covered different therapeutic disease states.

InScope Solutions Rebrands as InScope International and Relocates to Larger Headquarters
Reston, Va., July 13, 2010 –InScope Solutions, a leading consulting and integration firm for technology outsourcing, mission systems, and professional staffing, announced today it has rebranded as InScope International. The rebranding coincides with a new logo, website and move to a new corporate headquarters at 12018 Sunrise Valley Drive in Reston, Va.
Congressman Jim Moran (D-Va.) performed the ribbon cutting at a July 10 ceremony to open InScope’s new headquarters. Matt Lucas, a representative from Senator Jim Webb's office, Jim Davis of Davis Construction and Barbara Magistro of GTM Architects also attended.
InScope, which uses a mission-centric approach to provide its clients’ solutions, recognized the need to accommodate its expanded presence in national security, public initiatives, and technology innovation domains. InScope will triple its headquarters in its new facility, occupying 22,000 square feet at Two Reston Crescent.
