David Borsos
Director Public Initiatives
Mr. Borsos brings over 20 years of experience in capital markets, finance, banking and energy to InScope International. At InScope, Dave is focused on the areas of housing and energy as part of the Public Initiatives mission. Prior to joining InScope, Dave ran an independent real estate and renewable energy consulting business, DJB Enterprises from 2005-09. During that time he was also a principal with Energy Matrix LLC a boutique advisory group targeting public private ventures in renewable energy.
Dave spent 16 years at Freddie Mac in a variety of leadership roles that included sourcing, structuring, underwriting and negotiating large pool transactions. From 1999 to 2005 Dave’s work with the business development team led to new product development and program offerings as part of Freddie Mac’s corporate strategic initiatives. In that period, annual sales volume grew from $1 billion to $8.1 billion and included over $2 billion of business in support of a market leading financing facility. During his tenure he built and ran teams responsible for security structuring, security issuance along with sales and marketing efforts.
Mr. Borsos began his career in the field of alternative fuels, working on coal based synthetic fuels while at Exxon Research and Engineering and Atlantic Research Corporation. He holds a BsChe and an MBA from the University of Maryland. Dave lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and 3 children.
